UCLA California Collaborative HIV/AIDS Research Center-Network for AIDS Research in Los Angeles (CCHARC-NARLA) Seed Grants
The UCLA AIDS Institute and the UCLA California Collaborative HIV/AIDS Research Center-
Network for AIDS Research in Los Angeles (CCHARC-NARLA) are accepting applications for seed grants to fund research in areas that touch on the theme of the NARLA Center, i.e. the development and evaluation of novel strategies for treating and preventing HIV infection.
UCLA California Collaborative HIV/AIDS Research Center-Network for AIDS Research in Los Angeles (CCHARC-NARLA) Fellowship Awards
The UCLA AIDS Institute and the UCLA California Collaborative HIV/AIDS Research Center-Network for AIDS Research in Los Angeles (CCHARC-NARLA) are accepting applications for one-year fellowship supplements for postdoctoral and graduate students working in HIV/AIDS in areas relevant to CCHARC-NARLA priority research areas in order to increase research capacity at NARLA sites. Specifically NARLA is focused on the development and evaluation of novel strategies for treating and preventing HIV infection. Current investigations involve assessment of the acceptability of microbicide and gene therapy clinical trials within minority communities. Focus on these or other relevant areas is required.
Basic/Translational Research
The UCLA AIDS Institute and Center for AIDS Research (CFAR), Pendleton Foundation, and other private sources are accepting applications for seed grants to fund basic and translational studies with special emphasis on collaborative and multi-disciplinary studies.
Domestic Behavioral Science Research for HIV/AIDS
The UCLA AIDS Institute is accepting Letters of Intent for seed grant proposals to fund behavioral science research. The objective is to provide seed funding for projects that will eventually be submitted for NIH and private funders to fund larger grants.
Mentorship Grants for Transitional Investigators
The UCLA AIDS Institute, Center for AIDS Research (CFAR), Pendleton Foundation, and other private sources are accepting applications for mentorship grants to fund investigators currently in a transitional period beyond postdoctoral training but prior to an independent career position so that they may acquire additional mentorship and training to enable them to progress to the next level of their career.
International Prevention and Policy Research for HIV/AIDS
The UCLA AIDS Institute and UCLA Program in Global Health, with funding from The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund and The Franklin Mint Foundation, is accepting Letters of Intent for seed grant proposals to fund global HIV prevention and policy research, including health services. The objective is to provide seed funding for projects that foster collaboration between UCLA and scientists from priority developing countries, in order to stimulate research work in these countries.
Fellowship Awards
Fellows or graduate students may apply for a fellowship supplement of up to $5,000.
